The Llotja Superior School of Design and Art in Barcelona announces the fourth artist’s book award for national schools. The aim of this award is to promote the production of artist books within the different Art schools. This modality covers a great variety of plastic languages and artistic techniques. The objective of this award is to grow and contribute novelties while rewarding the exciting world of the Artist’s book.
This year, and coinciding with the twentieth anniversary of the school’s collaboration with Japanese paper artisans from the city of Aoya, a special prize is being held for books made with Japanese paper. The quality, diversity, as well as the ideal printing of this paper, opens a wide range of experimentation within the book formats.
You’re able to see the winning editions of this year at the gallery from Monday 10th to Saturday 15th May or on the website of the Llotja Superior School of Design and Art in Barcelona
