Oriol Vilapuig

BIO

Oriol Vilapuig

Sabadell, 1964) studied at the Escola d’Art EINA in Barcelona (1982-1985) and graduated in Fine Arts from the Sant Jordi Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona (1985-1990).

His works adopt a methodology close to the essay. Starting from tradition as the pre-existing, his proposals use mechanisms of appropriation, citation and montage as ways to generate renewed imaginaries around experiences related to the body, desire, eroticism, loss, fear or time.
