Next Friday, February 27 at 8:00 pm, the Centro Galego de Arte Contemporáneo (Santiago de Compostela) will host the opening of Ante la ley, Lluís Hortalà’s exhibition.
With the title of the exhibition, Ante la ley, Lluís Hortalà refers to one of Kafka’s most well-known short stories, perhaps the most widely read alongside The Metamorphosis (also translated in recent editions as The Transformation). Through this reference, Hortalà invites us to explore the tension between access and barrier, between the visible and the forbidden—themes that traverse the Kafkaesque universe and resonate within his visual practice.
