The newspaper La Vanguardia devotes prominent coverage to Mariaelena Roqué’s exhibition at Galería RocioSantaCruz, as part of Barcelona Gallery Weekend 2026, one of the most significant events on the city’s art calendar.

In the article entitled Veteran Artists Take Over the Galleries, published on September 17, 2026, in the Culture section, journalist Teresa Sesé highlights the return to Barcelona’s exhibition scene of established artists such as Mariaelena Roqué and Eulàlia Valldosera, whose work features in this year’s programme.

The article includes a photograph of Mariaelena Roqué alongside the central installation of her exhibition at Galería RocioSantaCruz, offering a glimpse into the artist’s visual and sculptural universe. Through this coverage, La Vanguardia highlights the presence of established figures in contemporary art and their participation in an edition of Barcelona Gallery Weekend that reaffirms the continued relevance of their artistic practices and their ability to explore new languages and forms of expression.
