Antón Lamazares Presents “Na Canella. 1973–2026” in A Coruña

Antón Lamazares will inaugurate his exhibition Na Canella. 1973–2026 on October 29 at the Palexco Municipal Exhibition Hall in A Coruña. Organized by the A Coruña City Council (Concello da Coruña), the exhibition will remain on view until January 17, 2027, offering a journey through more than five decades of artistic creation, with memory, childhood, and the rural Galician landscape as its central themes.

The exhibition brings together paintings from different stages of his career, from his earliest works to recent creations, establishing a dialogue between past and present. Through his distinctive pictorial language, characterized by the expressive use of materials, textures, and color, Lamazares revisits memories, experiences, and scenes connected to Maceira, his native village, which has remained an essential reference point throughout his artistic practice.

Na Canella. 1973-2026 offers an insight into the personal universe of one of the most prominent figures in contemporary Galician painting, whose career has unfolded between Galicia and cities such as Madrid, New York, Paris, and Berlin..

The exhibition opening will take place on Thursday, October 29, at 7:30 p.m., at the Palexco Municipal Exhibition Hall in A Coruña.
