On October 16, 2026, Viaje al centro de la Tierra, an exhibition by Marina Núñez, an artist represented by Galería RocioSantaCruz, and curated by Isabel Durán, opened at the Museo Extremeño e Iberoamericano de Arte Contemporáneo (MEIAC) in Badajoz.
The exhibition brings together recent works alongside earlier pieces by the artist, offering an exploration of the relationships between humanity, nature, and the cosmos. Through installations, sculptures, and digital creations, Núñez continues to develop an artistic practice in which science, technology, and imagination converge.
This opening coincides with two other solo exhibitions by the artist. Since July 10, the Museo de Palencia has been presenting Terra ignota, curated by Pedro Gallego de Lerma. Conceived specifically for the museum’s spaces, the exhibition takes the Roman mosaic Océano y las Nereidas as its starting point, establishing a dialogue between archaeological heritage and contemporary artistic creation through a series of installations and audiovisual works.
Meanwhile, La Térmica Cultural in Ponferrada has been hosting Tantos mundos en este, also curated by Isabel Durán, since June 20. The project features a large-scale installation comprising 288 digitally printed ceramic tiles, accompanied by a sound composition by Luis de la Torre and the sculptural series Cosmos.
