In light of the paralysis and the lack of response from the Government to our demand for a reduction of VAT on the sale of artworks for artists and galleries—an essential measure to put an end to the disadvantage compared to other European countries, which already benefit from a cultural VAT—Spanish art galleries will close their doors from February 2 to 7, temporarily halting an activity we defend as essential for society: free and continuous access to artistic creation.

For one week, all galleries across Spain will cease to be free cultural spaces open to the public as a form of protest and to draw attention.

We look forward to welcoming you from the 9th onwards, when galleries reopen to continue defending their role as meeting places for culture, sharing our spaces with all of you.

NOTE: Between February 2 and 7 our professional activity behind closed doors will not cease. We will attend to you by appointment only, during the gallery’s usual opening hours.

If you have any questions, please contact us at info@rociosantacruz.com / +34 936 338 360.
