ArtParis 2026

08.04.2026 - 12.04.2026 / Stand C16

RocioSantaCruz’s proposal for ArtParis 2026 emerges from new ways of seeing and experiencing art, articulated through a dialogue between works by Teresa Gancedo (España, 1937), Lionel Sabatté (Francia, 1975) y Jean Denant (Francia, 1979).

Jean Denant, is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, design, architecture and sculpture. His work brings together volumes, forms and materials, challenging the conventions of drawing and traditional painting while exploring the expressive potential of his chosen media.

Teresa Gancedo, one of the two women included in the exhibition New Images from Spain (Guggenheim Museum, New York, 1980), constructs evocative scenarios through images grounded in both the oneiric and the figurative. Her work deconstructs symbolic forms shaped by lived experience, exploring the relationship between human beings and their environment, and the ways in which both are mutually transformed.

Lionel Sabatté, nominated for the Marcel Duchamp Prize 2025, is known for his innovative use of mineral pigments, dust, rust and fibres. His works merge the oneiric with the unsettling through hybrid and dissimilar figures, offering powerful reflections on the human condition and its relationship with the natural world.

The practices of these artists converge in a shared exploration and reinterpretation of images through unconventional materials and processes. Together, they form a diverse visual landscape connected by a common pursuit of new modes of representation and meaning.

Visually compelling, their works engage with philosophical and social questions, inviting the viewer into a reflective experience that transcends the aesthetic and resonates within contemporary global discourse.
