La Vanguardia’s Quèfem section highlights Gonzalo Elvira’s new installation at the Museu d’Art Modern de Tarragona (MAMT).

In the exhibition La casa del savi, Gonzalo Elvira reconstructs the figure of the Tarragona-based researcher Antoni Martí i Franquès by establishing a dialogue between drawing and image, linking seemingly distant elements.

The exhibition will be on view until 07.06.2026 at the Museu d’Art Modern de Tarragona (MAMT).

Lúa Ribeira Agony in the Garden and Toni Amengual TERRA FERMA participate in PHotoESPAÑA 2026 within the exhibition Espacio Fotolibros, presented at the Belgian Sawmill in Madrid.

The exhibition is conceived as a journey through the diversity and strength of the contemporary photobook, bringing together the 73 finalist titles for the Best Photography Book of the Year Award across its different categories: Research, Creation, Bibliophilia, and First Publication.

In this context, both artists have been selected as finalists, forming part of an international panorama that understands the photobook as one of the most vibrant and dynamic formats in contemporary image-making.

The digital magazine Siroco / Mag notes in the article, written by Manuel Padín Fernández, that “the exhibition is conceived as an exercise in perceptual tension, in which the works of Lluís Hortalà place the viewer in a liminal state between reality and illusion, questioning the mechanisms of representation and the very construction of vision.”

The exhibition Palmira Puig. Perspectives revelades , curated by Jesús Navarro and Rocío Santa Cruz, has been nominated for the Associació Catalana de Crítica d’Art (ACCA) Awards in the category of historical art curatorship.

From the team, we are especially pleased to celebrate this nomination, as it recognises the curatorial work and the collective effort behind a project that recovers and highlights the figure of Palmira Puig within the artistic landscape.

From April 8 to 15, the exhibition Icona: ballant sobre un món en runes by Toni Amengual is presented, a project that delves into contemporary imagery through a critical and symbolic perspective. Through a refined visual language, the exhibition articulates a reflection on fragility, memory, and the tensions of the present.

The exhibition will be open to the public during those days at Can Marquès, within the framework of Art Cologne Palma Mallorca.

Next Friday, April 10, the exhibition La casa del savi by Gonzalo Elvira opens at the Museu d’Art Modern de Tarragona, as part of the Dret a rèplica programme. Curated by Juan de Nieves, the exhibition offers an approach to the artist’s work through a visual and conceptual reflection on memory, knowledge, and their forms of representation.

The exhibition will be on view until June 7, 2026.

The feature covers his recent work exploring memory, image, and the impact of the pandemic in Mallorca. The project addresses the fragility of contemporary memory through processes of visual rupture and reconstruction.

We will resume our usual activity on Tuesday 7 April. The gallery will reopen with the exhibition Polvo de estrellas by Marina Núñez, currently on view, and we will be participating in ArtParis 2026 at stand C16.

The newspaper TOT Sant Cugat highlights the exhibition La Capsa Vermella, a show that brings back the unique vision of Antoni Campañà, one of the great visual chroniclers of the Spanish Civil War.
