Today, 19 June, Tantos mundos en este opens at La Térmica Cultural in Ponferrada, a project by Marina Núñez curated by Isabel Durán. The exhibition offers a reflection on the interdependence between human beings, nature and the cosmos through a body of work that brings together art, science and ecological thought.

Con Tantos mundos en este, Marina Núñez transforma el espacio de La Térmica Cultural en un territorio de contemplación y pensamiento, donde arte, ciencia y conciencia ecológica convergen para imaginar otras formas posibles de habitar el mundo.

The central element of the exhibition is a monumental 104-square-metre installation composed of 288 digitally printed ceramic tiles, accompanied by a sound piece created by Luis de la Torre. The exhibition is completed by Cosmos, a series of laser-engraved glass spheres that expand the viewer’s gaze towards a universal dimension.

The exhibition will be on view at La Térmica Cultural in Ponferrada from 20 June 2026 to 17 January 2027.

The boutique hotel Can Alberti 1740, in Menorca, presents an exhibition bringing together works by Lionel Sabatté, Teresa Gancedo, Jean Denant, Pepo Hernando and Toni Amengual. Organised in collaboration with Galeria Rocio Santa Cruz, the exhibition unfolds throughout various rooms and spaces of the hotel, creating a dialogue between the artworks and the building’s historic architecture.

The exhibition proposes an encounter between heritage, tranquillity and contemporary creation, integrating a carefully curated selection of works within the distinctive setting of Can Alberti. Through this journey, art becomes a natural part of the experience of the place, fostering new relationships between the artworks, the spaces and those who inhabit them.

The exhibition will be on view from 11 June to 25 July 2026.

The artist Marina Núñez is participating in Spain in Transmission: New Digital Work, an exhibition included in the art programme of SXSW London 2026. Curated by Patrick Moore, former director of the Andy Warhol Museum, the exhibition brings together four Spanish artists whose practices explore the creative possibilities of contemporary digital technologies.

Marina Núñez presents the video installations Inmersión and Quietas, as part of a project that brings together art, innovation and contemporary visual culture. Held in Shoreditch, London, SXSW London has established itself as one of the leading international events dedicated to the convergence of creativity, technology and contemporary thought.

The exhibition can be visited as part of SXSW London 2026 from 1 to 6 June, forming part of the festival’s art programme.

On 3 June, the exhibition Colita. Fotografía opened at Sala Amós Salvador in Logroño Colita. Fotografía ,a broad survey of the career of one of the most important figures in contemporary Spanish photography. Curated by photographer Matías Costa, the exhibition offers a renewed reading of her work through a free dialogue between images from different periods and contexts, revealing Colita’s extraordinary ability to portray reality with sensitivity, irony and commitment.

The exhibition is the result of a close collaboration between Matías Costa and the Colita Archive, bringing together a carefully selected group of photographs that offers a fresh perspective on some of the artist’s most iconic images. The project highlights the richness and enduring relevance of a photographic legacy that remains essential to understanding Spanish visual culture in the second half of the twentieth century.

Colita. Fotografía will remain on view until 16 August 2026 at Sala Amós Salvador, a leading contemporary art centre located in Logroño, La Rioja.

Toni Amengual will present his new photobook Terra Ferma on 10 June at La Fábrica Bookshop in Madrid, in conversation with artist Gloria Oyarzabal. Taking the island of Mallorca as its starting point, the project reflects on the transformation of the landscape through human intervention, exploring the tensions between tourism, territory and environmental degradation. Designed in collaboration with Fiorenza Pinna, the book also stands out for its distinctive material conception, becoming a physical and conceptual extension of the photographic research itself.

RocioSantaCruz gallery has received the 2026 GAC Award for Best Exhibition in the Mid-Career Artist category for La campana còsmica i el llac que respira by Dionis Escorsa, during the Nit del Galerisme celebration held at MACBA.

Awarded by Galeries d’Art de Catalunya, this recognition represents a great joy for the entire gallery team and an encouragement to continue developing projects committed to contemporary creation and to maintaining a close relationship with artists.

With La campana còsmica i el llac que respira, RocioSantaCruz presented Dionis Escorsa’s first solo exhibition at the gallery. The project proposed a reflection on memory, representation, and intergenerational transmission through a dialogue between painting, drawing, and contemporary technological tools. The exhibition drew from elements connected to family memory and landscape —such as the bell tower of Tavèrnoles or the Sau reservoir— to create a visual and sensory experience in which light, atmosphere, and time played a central role.

The exhibition brought audiences closer to an artistic practice that combines traditional media and contemporary technologies, generating immersive environments in which viewers are invited to actively participate in the symbolic space of the work.

We would especially like to thank Galeries d’Art de Catalunya, the GAC Awards jury, and MACBA for making possible another edition of the Nit del Galerisme, a key event within the artistic and gallery ecosystem. The article delves into the period between 1978 and 1980, during Spain’s Transition, highlighting how Ouka Leele’s work moved away from documentary photography towards a hybrid language that brought together painting, performance, and the oneiric.

The publication also underlines the importance of the Peluquería series and of the hand-applied colour interventions on black-and-white photographs, a process that would eventually define one of Ouka Leele’s most recognisable visual languages.

Journalist Teresa Sesé writes an extensive feature in La Vanguardia on the exhibition. Ouka Leele. Barcelona 1978–1980 , which can currently be visited at the gallery. The article focuses on the decisive years the artist spent in Barcelona and on how the city became the place where she began to build the visual universe that would turn her into one of the great icons of the Movida madrileña.

The publication particularly highlights the Peluquería series, created in Montjuïc in the late 1970s, as well as the atmosphere of creative freedom and experimentation that surrounded Ouka Leele during those years alongside artists and key figures of the countercultural scene such as El Hortelano, Nazario, Ceesepe and Pepe Ribas.
