La Vanguardia’s Quèfem section highlights Gonzalo Elvira’s new installation at the Museu d’Art Modern de Tarragona (MAMT).

In the exhibition La casa del savi, Gonzalo Elvira reconstructs the figure of the Tarragona-based researcher Antoni Martí i Franquès by establishing a dialogue between drawing and image, linking seemingly distant elements.

The exhibition will be on view until 07.06.2026 at the Museu d’Art Modern de Tarragona (MAMT).

Lúa Ribeira and Toni Amengual in PHotoESPAÑA 2026

Lúa Ribeira Agony in the Garden and Toni Amengual TERRA FERMA participate in PHotoESPAÑA 2026 within the exhibition Espacio Fotolibros, presented at the Belgian Sawmill in Madrid.

The exhibition is conceived as a journey through the diversity and strength of the contemporary photobook, bringing together the 73 finalist titles for the Best Photography Book of the Year Award across its different categories: Research, Creation, Bibliophilia, and First Publication.

In this context, both artists have been selected as finalists, forming part of an international panorama that understands the photobook as one of the most vibrant and dynamic formats in contemporary image-making.

SIROCO / MAG highlights the exhibition “Ante a lei” by Lluís Hortalà at the CGAC (Centro Galego de Arte Contemporánea).

The digital magazine Siroco / Mag notes in the article, written by Manuel Padín Fernández, that “the exhibition is conceived as an exercise in perceptual tension, in which the works of Lluís Hortalà place the viewer in a liminal state between reality and illusion, questioning the mechanisms of representation and the very construction of vision.”

The Museu d’Art Modern de Tarragona presents “La casa del savi” by Gonzalo Elvira

Next Friday, April 10, the exhibition La casa del savi by Gonzalo Elvira opens at the Museu d’Art Modern de Tarragona, as part of the Dret a rèplica programme. Curated by Juan de Nieves, the exhibition offers an approach to the artist’s work through a visual and conceptual reflection on memory, knowledge, and their forms of representation.

The exhibition will be on view until June 7, 2026.
