Núvol highlights Teresa Gancedo’s symbolic vision at the Fundació Vayreda.

The cultural newspaper Núvol places the spotlight on Teresa Gancedo’s exhibition within the series. Verònica. Dones visionàries at the Fundació Vayreda, curated by Natàlia Chocarro, highlighting how the León-born artist engages in dialogue with the idea of the Vera Icon —the “true image,” not constructed but revealed— through a deeply symbolic, poetic, and autobiographical body of work.

The exhibition, which can be visited at Casa Vayreda in Olot until April 12, 2026, highlights more than five decades of work in which Gancedo has explored memory, spirituality, and the dreamlike dimension as spaces of resistance against the immediacy of the visible, turning painting into a territory where the intimate and the sacred merge to question what it truly means to see.

Dionis Escorsa in dialogue with the founding spirit of OVNI

Within the framework of Murmullos, the live arts program of the Thirtieth Anniversary of the Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA), a special session of the Observatorio de Vídeo No Identificado (OVNI) will take place, featuring the participation of Dionis Escorsa.

The proposal revisits the experience that OVNI developed at the museum between 1996 and 1998, when it curated sixteen thematic video programs that were pioneering in their field and helped establish the first video library at MACBA. That project turned the moving image into a space for critical analysis and political reflection.

In this new session, Dionis Escorsa will take part in the reactivation of the archive, in a gathering that brings together past and present to rethink absences, memories, and contested narratives through images.
